Tested: Oxford’s £260 textile suit
Oxford Misano Textile Jacket £129.99, Continental 2.0 trousers £129.99
Tested by Oli Rushby Time tested 7000 miles/four months
What’s good? This Oxford suit is great value for money. I’ve ridden more than 7000 miles in a range of conditions from 25° sunshine to ice and snow. Even after riding seven hours on French motorways in torrential rain, I was bone dry under the suit at the end of the day. It’s not just me that was dry either, the contents of my outside front pockets were also suitably sheltered from the deluge of rain.
In the summer, after removing the thermal lining, both the jacket and trousers are light and can be made even more airy with the numerous vents. With the thermal lining, it’s warm enough to keep you cosy on a late autumn/early winter’s day but as the temperature goes down you’ll definitely need undergarments!
There’s plenty of storage space, both inside and out on the jacket and outside on the trousers and I’m yet to find a pocket that isn’t waterproof.
What’s not? I’ve found some of the zips to be a little bit fiddly. While none of the waterproof seals have broken, the zipper on one of my front pockets soon became stiff and is now completely broken after just four months of use.

It’s hard to look stylish in textiles, but former male-model Oli pulls it off
Dashes of fluro add a bit of colour to the suit as well as enhancing safety
One of the few issues Oli found with this Oxford suit are its fiddly zips
