The naked CB benefits from a decent round of revisions. There’s a 4bhp boost (at peak) for the 649cc engine, which nudges it to almost 90bhp at a reasonably peaky 11,000rpm. But Honda insists that the benefit will be felt from 5000rpm upwards. It comes from improved intake and the exhaust now employs a dual-pass internal structure in the muffler, reducing back pressure and increasing gas flow. Torque is also up, while the claimed 59.3mpg should get you over 220 miles.
