Q What’s the best way to protect my bike?
Although I don’t live in a bad area and my bike is nothing special (a 2013 Suzuki SV650), I suppose it’s wise to buy a lock and chain. What would be suitable? Mark Taylor, Southwell
A Answered by Keith Roissetter, Infinity Motorcycles Don’t you believe it. Thieving scum will nick anything if it’s easy to do so. Just the hassle involved with sorting out paperwork makes it worth protecting your bike. So get a decent lock and chain that’s Thatcham approved (and a bike cover, too). Oxford locks, like their old Monster range, can be found at a snip right now. The Oxford Boss alarm disc lock with a free chain is a good deal if you can still find one. Arguably the best around are the Almax Series IV chain with a Squire lock at £149.95 and the Abus Extreme range from £234.99.
