MV OF THE WORLD
MV were undoubted kings of the racing world in 1970. The firm won every world 500 title between 1958 and 1974 and dominated the 250 and 350 class, too. Riders like John Surtees, Mike Hailwood, Giacomo Agostini (left) and Phil Read helped but the driving force was factory founder Count Agusta. After his death in 1971, MV lost its way and withdrew from racing in 1976.
