‘The seed that grew Ducati’

Motorcycle News (UK) - - Feature -

“This is not a motorcycle, but it was Ducati’s first vehicle. After the war, people in Italy needed cheap transport as they had lost everything and Aldo Farinelli attached an auxiliary engine made by Siata to a bicycle to create the Cucciolo. It would do 100km on a litre of fuel, 50kph and was very popular. This was the seed that grew into Ducati.” Engine Single-cylinder, air-cooled 4-stroke, 2-valves, 48cc Power 1.5bhp @ 5500rpm Weight 30kg
