Motorcycle News (UK) - - Feature -

“This was the first motorcycle designed by Fabio Taglioni, who was employed in 1954. The Sport was a road replica of the Gran Sport ‘Marianna’ race bike and used a similar bevel gear with a single overhead cam, so was the firm’s first race replica, a Panigale of its day. It was incredibly popular and in 1957 led to the 175 T, which completed a 60,000km voyage around the world with Leopoldo Tartarini and Giorgio Monetti. The Turismo demonstrated Ducati’s reliability and opened the door to the American market.” Engine Single-cylinder, air-cooled 4-stroke, 2-valves, 125cc Power 8bhp @ 7500rpm Weight 100kg
