Q What should I look for in a ladies’ textile jacket?

Motorcycle News (UK) - - Garage -

Valentine’s Day is fast approaching and I want to show my love by getting a textile armoured jacket for my partner. What should I be considering?

A Answered by Alison Silcox, MCN Dedicated ladies kit should be tailored for our figures. If you are looking for a jacket with a longer cut make sure there’s some zips at the hips, as these can add a little extra room for a lady with a fuller figure. Different brands suit different bodyshapes. The Italian manufacturers, like Alpinestars and Dainese, are sometimes more petite, with shorter sleeves and a tighter waist, whilst Rev’it and Halvarssons offer kit with more wriggle room. Most jackets have matching pants, with a similar cut.

You also need to be sure your lady is a fan of feminine colours, there’s a lot of pink and pastel colours on ladyspecific kit, some people love it, whilst others avoid!
