Guy gets Mugen ride for TT Zero
Guy Martin will add the electric TT to his Honda Superbike and Senior commitments at this year’s Isle of Man TT riding for Team Mugen.
The 35-year-old who is making a return to the TT following a year out will line up alongside his official Honda Racing team-mate John Mcguinness.
Martin is no stranger to the TT Zero having competed in the 2015 race onboard Victory’s electric bike. He finished fourth behind the Mugen Hondas of Mcguinness and Bruce Anstey and his Victory team-mate Lee Johnston with a lap of 109.717mph.
Having won the race for the last three years, Mugen are aiming to not only continue their dominance of the fastevolving class, but are targeting the first-ever 120mph lap of the 37.73-mile circuit and are set to reveal a revised bike at the Tokyo show next month.
Mcguinness and Martin will get their first test of the bike in Japan in April.
