STORR CAN’T TAKE IT ANYMORE
John Storr (63) had several top 10 finishes in 350 and 500 GP world championship races, but never quite made it to the very top. In the ’50s he made a name for himself, and a living, by racing on the ‘Continental Circus’. Chasing start and prize money he did well on Nortons, even beating John Surtees on occasion. But by 1957 he’d had enough and headed off to Canada instead.
