British & Classic Bike Day at the Ace Where Ace Cafe, London When Sunday April 9, from 9am Entry Free Info www.ace-cafe-london.com

British and classic bike day has got to be the essence of what the Ace Café is all about. Expect to see a throng of café racers both new and old from the likes of Triumph, Norton and Royal Enfield. There might be the odd Gold Star if you’re lucky. We say British bikes of the 1960s were the stars of café culture and the Ace was the place to be. It’s still big for bikers but it’s got a different vibe these days. Sunday plays host to a raffle, entry is free if you spend a £5 at the counter, to win tickets to the Jukebox retro fair.

Cruel really, everyone knows a bike won’t start with people looking
