‘It’s that word – price – which is my only lingering doubt’
The 1090, by contrast, now seems almost classic old-school KTM Adventure, at a temptingly accessible price.
Oh, and if youõre thinking that 125bhp peak is a little off-putting Ð dont. Itõs easy, reassuring and there are 95bhp and A2/47bhp versions available as well.
But its that word Ð price Ð which is my only lingering doubt for both. Though brilliant, the 1290S certainly isnõt cheap, not least in the specced- up form of our test bike. Our 1090 test bike was also pushing 13 grand, thanks to its optional extras. Still, if thatõs a stretch too far, you can still snap up the old 1190 for under £ 11k.
