The RC30 may well be even more of a Honda icon than Freddie. Created to compete in the new-fangled World Superbike Championship just 3000 were built. Producing 118bhp from its 748cc gear-driven cam V4, the compact RC was a road bike pioneer packed full of delectable touches from titanium rods to quick-release fork lowers, to the single-sided swinger.
Between 1988 and 1993, the bike won countless honours, including WSB titles, TT wins and for a very long time the outright lap record of the Nurburgring.
