Yamaha on top at Le Mans 24-hour
Yamaha won the Le Mans 24-hour round of the World Endurance Championship, taking both first and second, ahead of Team SRC Kawasaki. The GMT94 and YART Yamaha Official EWC Teams turned the event into a two-horse race as they battled with less than a minute between them for the entire race, finishing 11 laps ahead of the rest of the field. The early hours of the morning saw some of the most committed riding, with the gap between the two Yamaha teams dropping to just 15 seconds. After an exhausting 860 laps, the GMT outfit (pictured) won by a mere 19 seconds. Q See full story and results on page 77.
