I went for a ride on the sunny Sunday we had recently and I found that my Alpinestars SMX5 WP boots were getting a bit sweaty, so I think I want to take the plunge and buy a pair of mid-range sporty non-waterproof boots. What are my options? Carl Smalton, Manchester
Answered by Keith Roissetter, Infinity Motorcycles The current summer equivalent of what you have at the moment are the Alpinestars SMX6 V2 boots and they are good choice. The Sidi Cobra are also a great option, but some people find them a little bit narrow. The RST Tractech Evos won’t break the bank, but the perforations in the leather can make them a bit chilly even on reasonably warm days. The Held Cartagena are another option to look for, as are the colourful Dainese Nexus.
