The Co Armagh course was first used in 1958 and with 20 wins, Ryan Farquhar holds the record for the most number of victories while Michael Dunlopõs lap record of 109.297mph, set on a Kawasaki, has stood since 2011.

But events like Tandragee are under threat with the number of National events dropping from a dozen to just seven this year. Run in small, out-of-the-way places, there are three National events in the North Ð Tandragee, Cookstown and Armoyð plus four in the South Ð Skerries, Walderstown, Faugheen and Killalane. They continue to exist albeit struggling under the pressures of rising insurance costs and falling revenues.
