‘Marquez, Viñales clash will happen’
SIMON PATTERSON, MCN
And then there’s Valentino Rossi, who seemed as shocked as anyone to have taken the title lead. As Viñales and Marquez push each other hard, Rossi stays consistent. He might not have won in 2017 yet, but Marc Marquez proved in 2016 that you don’t need to win every weekend for title success. Plus, he loves the upcoming tracks.
The only thing we were denied at the weekend (yet again) was the chance to see Marquez and Viñales properly go head to head for a race win for the first time since their days in the Spanish championship as spotty teenagers. But make no mistake; it is coming, and when it does it’s going to be spectatular!
