KIT CHOOSER

Which armoured jeans Q will suit my commute?

Motorcycle News (UK) - - Garage -

I have a main bike for fun, and use a 125cc scooter for commuting. I don’t wear my full leathers on the scooter and recently had a low-speed, but fairly painful fall, so I’d like to get some protective jeans for commuting. I’d really like a set that can accommodate knee armour, too. Roger Southcott, email

A Answered by Keith Roissetter, Infinity Motorcycles Most motorcycle jeans come with knee armour, or as a bare minimum knee armour pockets. Quite a few come with hip armour, or the pockets for it, at least. The ones I’m listing here all have knee armour and a seamless knee look. The Knox Richmond look OK as do the PMJ Rider. If you’re after a classic wax-look the Oxford SPJ-7 may well work for you as well. The ultimate are probably the Rokker Revolution which look like very simple jeans but are very technical. They are waterproof and boast D30 armour in the knees and hips.
