An official round of the UK Speedway Championships will see the Peterborough Panthers take on the Newcastle Diamonds in the Maxxis Arena on Saturday night.

It’s a jaw dropping spectacle everyone should see at least once. The 500cc methanol-burning singles only have one gear and no brakes. Travelling at speeds of up to 80mph on a loose surface, the riders powerslide through the turns on full lock, shale spraying out as they try to find grip.

Only campers get in to see the speedway for free. There’s plenty of space and tickets are only £30 (when booked as a group of four or more) plus children under 16 get into the festival for free! With more stalls, more test rides, more clubs and more stunt shows, plus a full round of DTRA flat track racing during the day, it’s going to be a packed weekend.

A camping ticket also get you access to the Yamaha Dark Side party on both Friday and Saturday night with live music and a licensed bar. If you can’t camp you can still get in to see the speedway, but you’ll need to purchase an additional ticket on the gate (£16).
