HOW THEY DIFFER FROM EXPENSIVE LIDS

Motorcycle News (UK) - - Garage -

Most entry-level helmets have a thermoplastic outer shell covering the polystyrene EPS beneath. More expensive helmets still use polystyrene cores but the shells are usually made from fibreglass, or a composite of fibreglass, carbon-fibre and Kevlar. Fibre shells can absorb more of impact, meaning the EPS has less work to do.
