Q Is fitting a quickshifter a pain in the Rs ?

Motorcycle News (UK) - - Garage -

Can the quickshifter/autoblipper that features on the new GSX-R1000R be fitted to the stock bike or does it only fit the R-model? I think the stock bike would be good enough for me but I would really like to have the quickshifter for trackdays. Nigel Lort, email Answered by Mark Hale, A Streetbike If you want to fit the R quickshifter on a standard GSX-R1000AL7, you need to buy a new wiring loom and ECU as well as the gear shift assembly. Prohibitively expensive unless you’ve got a spare £1320 for the parts and you’re willing to pay a Suzuki dealership about £700 to swap the loom etc and reprogramme the ECU to the bike.
