Who are Moto Morini?
Moto Morini were founded in January 1937 by Alfonso Morini with the intention of producing motorcycles and three-wheeled vans (donõt ask). Morini was a skilled mechanic and a fast rider himself, and by 1927 heõd already claimed six world records at Monza on his own bikes. Moto Morini began producing 125cc race bikes before moving on to the 175cc bikes that Giacomo Agostini first raced on.
Moto Moriniõs biggest commercial success was the 3½ of the early Õ70s, due to its reliable 350cc engine that used Heron cylinder heads. That engine was designed by Franco Lambertini, the man behind the current 1200cc engine thatõs at the heart of the modern range. After a period of financial uncertainty, the brand returned in 2012 before opening a new factory in Trivolzio in 2014, which is their current home.
