‘It doesn’t bother me in the slightest… now’

Jason Griffiths reveals why he has no TT regrets

Motorcycle News (UK) - - Feature -

“I just took each race as it came,” says Jason Griffiths, who now has a motorcycle dealership on the Isle of Man. “I think it bothered some other people more than me that I never won a race. It doesn’t bother me in the slightest… now.

“I stopped racing when I was ready to stop and I’m still walking round so that’s the important thing. I really enjoyed it but I’m glad I stopped when I did. It’s easy to think, ‘I’ll just do another year’ but I drew a line under it in 2006 and didn’t look back.

“I can’t remember which TT I came closest to winning! It might even have been one where I didn’t finish on the podium, a race that I felt I could have won but then broke down. But I was lucky to race against some good guys like Joey Dunlop, and on the day the best man wins.”
