Casey’s back (but only testing)
Casey Stoner will return to testing duties for three days in Barcelona after the Le Mans race in two weeks’ time. Joining fellow test rider Michele Pirro, the Australian former world champion will be on track with both Jorge Lorenzo and Andrea Dovizioso.
While Lorenzo’s Jerez podium might indicate a rapidly-improving Ducati Desmosedici, both he and team-mate Dovizioso are still complaining about the machine’s mid-corner turning characteristics which, they say, is holding them back in long and fast corners. Stoner is seen as the man to solve this long-running issue.
