Mackenzie’s right to turn back on Britain

Tarran’s Moto2 move is brilliant and timing is right, too

Motorcycle News (UK) - - This Week -

The British Supersport series will miss him badly but what a great opportunity it is for Tarran Mackenzie to get Danny Kent’s vacant seat in Moto2 at Keifer Racing. I was blown away when the news broke on MCN’S website – it’s just the best. Some might say that Tarran should stay and finish the job in BSS but my view is that it’s exactly the right time for him to make the move. Tarran is 21 now and improving all the time but if he left it any longer to make the leap it could be too late and all those young Spanish kids will have stolen a march on him and grabbed all the best rides. Now let’s see what he can do – this could be the start of something special! Maybe Tarran will go one better than his dad and get on the top step of the GP podium. Even Maisie the Mackenzie family dog looks excited…
