THANKS HONDA!

What the 600 Hornet gave us

Motorcycle News (UK) - - Feature -

A GREAT NEW NAME

Honda debuted the name in 1994 with its Japan-only 250 and the US never got it, over there the name is owned by AMC, dating back to the 1952 Hudson Hornet.

SHADES OF BLADE

The oddball 16in front and rear 180-section tyres were lifted straight from, of all bikes, the mightly Fireblade. And why not…

HORNET RACING

Or, specifically, the Honda Hornet Cup – one of the most successful (and lunatic) one-make racing series of recent years.

SCORCHED PILLIONS

Well, scorched ankles at least. Those high pipes were the biggest and boldest in the class.
