Scorpion RP1-GP Z900 exhaust £549

What’s good? Scorpion’s RP1 exhaust is Ec-approved, and tidies up and lightens up Kawasaki’s excellent new naked no end. As Scorpion’s flagship pipe it comes with a choice of Titanium or carbon construction and a laser-cut titanium link-pipe. What’s not? Don’t expect massive power or noise increases from this new Scorpion system, as a lot of the silencing and emissions gubbins on the bike is south of the can and link-pipe.pion-ex

Rukka AFT Gloves £TBA

What’s good? Designed for people who want the feel and ventilation of a summer glove, without looking like they’ve just stepped from a racetrack. Perfect for adventure and naked riders, there is leather in all the right protective areas, but air-permeable fabric on the fingers, behind the knuckles and on the wrist, so they should be cool. They also come with a two-year warranty. What’s not? By definition, the amount of venting means that they won’t be as protective as a full-on race glove, but Rukka stuff is always great quality.

Dynojet Power Commander for 2017 Yamaha R6 £368.48

What’s good? The addition of a Power Commander to the 2017 Yamaha R6 will help it regain some of the power stolen from it after it was adapted to meet stringent Euro4 regulations. Combined with a full exhaust system and one of Dynojet’s downloadable maps, or better still, a custom one from a specialised dyno operator, it should give more power and better response. What’s not? It’s not cheap and fitting is a specialised job, unless you’re a competent home mechanic. www.dyno Knox Phelix jacket £299.99 What’s good? This stylish women’s jacket is part of Knox’s layering system, which means armour and outer parts have separate layers. Knox claims this improves fit and safety and it also means it is easier for the jacket to be worn in non-bike situations. Constructed from 1mm leather, it is cotton-lined and has leather interior panels. What’s not? For proper protection you’ll need to buy the armoured shirt separately, which costs £109.
