Harold Daniell won the Se­nior TT on a Nor­ton and de­scribed the bike as like ‘rid­ing a featherbed’. That com­ment led to the nam­ing of the at Nor­ton’s frame. Daniell won three TTS and came sixth in the world 500 cham­pi­onship in 1949. Daniell had also won the 1938 Se­nior and set a fastest lap of over 90mph – a record that stood for 12 years!
