Guy will go it alone on Honda Racing Blade

Motorcycle News (UK) - - Feature -

The Honda Racing squad will not replace 23-times TT winner Mcguinness as he continues to recover from his injuries, despite rumours and speculation that Lee Johnston would step in to the gap left by his close friend.

“The decision has been made not to replace John, purely out of respect for his long-standing relationship with Honda,” Honda confirmed to MCN.

However, while Mcguinness won’t be replaced on his Superbike, stand-in riders have been announced for both his Supersport and TT Zero machines, with Josh Brookes taking on the CBR600RR at Jackson Racing while 2016 race winner Bruce Anstey makes his return to Mugen in the electric bike race.
