Brilliant biking events
British motorcycle manufacturer Mutt have grown in popularity by bringing classic style to the learner market. Now their latest range of 125cc bikes also brings more modern technology to the party. The key bike in the range is the new Mongrel, which has had a series of updates prompted by Euro4.
The old Suzuki engine that powers it is now fuel injected, which should add a bit more snap to the throttle response as well reducing the emissions. The Mongrel also has disc brakes front and rear, which are linked, although there’s no ABS. There’s a new halogen headlight, and LED lights everywhere else, plus other small improvements such as a fuel gauge and stainless exhaust system.
Along with improvements to the base-model Mongrel, Mutt have also added some new bikes including our favourite – the Baja. The Baja channels that desert sled vibe into a really nice little package with off-road tyres, taller handlebars and headlight grille – plus the all-important paintjob. The Mongrel is available now, priced at £2950, while the Baja is £3700 (both plus OTR charges).
