TAS team breaks nine-year duck
Sunday’s TT win was the first superbike race win for the TAS Racing team run by Philip Neill and his father Hector since Cameron Donald won the same race in 2008 on the Relentless Suzukis.
The Northern Irishman said: “These TT race have got tougher and tougher to win every year. There are so many good bikes and riders now, so this is a very special day for us. We have come so close a few times before but it has slipped away.
“The BMW is the bike of the moment and we have lots of TT experience.” “Hutchy has provided the final ingredient. He isn’t the easiest rider to work with but, like us, he needs to deliver so we have tried to give him everything he has asked for over the last two years.”
