Fitting tributes to a great human being

World Superbike paddock did Nicky Hayden proud

Motorcycle News (UK) - - This Week -

It was a truly sombre day as we entered Donington on Friday for free practice. The recent loss of Nicky Hayden was heavy in the air and we approached some of the riders with some trepidation but were very surprised that they still made time to chat and sign autographs. The tributes to Nicky were wonderful but the most special tribute was the book of condolence presented so soon after his tragic death which allowed members of the public to enter their own words which will be passed on to his family. I felt very privileged to be able to enter my thoughts in this wonderful tribute to such a great racer and ambassador for the motorcycling world. He will truly be missed and will sit side by side with all the greats in motorcycling history. We will miss Nicky 69 and he will always be remembered. Andy Meads, Northants
