Triumph confirm Moto2 engine
Mugello saw Triumph finally confirmed as official engine supplier to Moto2 from 2019 (see page 6).
The move will see the departure of Honda’s CBR600 engines in favour of a specially developed version of Triumph’s Street Triple 765cc powerplant. The move will mean major changes to the class, with chassis manufacturers such as Suter, Kalex and KTM developing completely new frames to fit around the much slimmer three-cylinder engine.
