Metzeler say “A focus on enhancing grip on wet and low friction surfaces, an increased mileage and a high degree of adaptability to different motorcycles, riding styles and conditions. The employment of completely new tread design enhancing mechanical grip coupled with compounds evolved from those of the award-wining Z8 allows for increased confidence while riding.”

TEST RESULTS Comfort 5/5

“Outstanding! These tyres make the Tracer feel as though it’s just had £3000 worth of suspension upgrades. I had no idea tyres could have such a dramatic effect.”

Front- end feel/agility 5/5

There’s 100% feel in every area – straight-line braking, trailing in, and on corner entry. Their sporting potential is very high which allows you to go deeper into corners than you would expect a sports-touring tyre to let you go.

Rear- end feel 5/5

100% connection. Seriously, you just don’t give grip a second thought because it’s there in abundance. Very confidence inspiring.

Stability 5/5

These tyres give superior stability in all situations and speed ranges. It’s like someone’s fitted an invisible steering damper.

Overall 20/20

It takes a lot to impress me but these tyres have done just that. The difference they’ve made to the Tracer is dramatic – they’ve taken it from a decent-but-budget middleweight and turned it into a much more advanced-feeling machine. The only slight negative is that they need a fair bit of scrubbing in from new.
