DUCATI FIXES BURNING ISSUE

New Xdiavel exhaust looks much cooler

Motorcycle News (UK) - - This Week -

Earlier this year Ducati released a mid-control set of footrests for the Xdiavel, which placed your right foot very close to the exhaust. This made it very easy to put your foot right in the firing line of the exhaust gases, which were hot enough to melt through boots – as MCN discovered.

At the time Ducati said there was a heat shield missing from our test model but these spy shots suggest that was just an interim measure.

The Xdiavel photographed here has a new single exhaust that exits downwards away from the footrests. The exhaust looks like a finished production item as the curves are neat and the cover appears nicely finished. It’s very similar to the Termignoni aftermarket exhaust and we expect it will also have a shroud similar to the Termi item.

There’s a larger LED cluster on the rear but we assume that is because the metal plate attached to the rear of the bike is obscuring the standard unit.

The Tacita Rally is a great-looking and practical off-roader 1 2
