Harrison on pace with stock engine
Silicone Engineering Kawasaki’s Dean Harrison led a decent chunk of Sunday’s Superbike race, a feat that is all the more impressive for the young Yorkshireman when it’s considered he was running a stock ZX-10R motor.
Having blown two Superbike engines during the week, Harrison was left running his stock engine in the Superbike race but it didn’t slow him much as he fought for the lead throughout before crossing the line in an impressive third place.
“I definitely have the pace to run at the front of the superbikes,” he said. “We were just lacking a bit of power up the mountain. We blew two superbike motors during the week so had to revert to a stock motor but I’m not getting the violins out of the bag.”
