No stopping Dunlop
After the acrimonious finish to last year’s Supersport TT when the legality of Ian Hutchinson’s race-winning R6 was questioned, Michael Dunlop was desperate to get one over on his arch rival. And he did. He was pushed all the way by James Hillier, but he came out on top in the end. He said: “James rode hard at the start, but on the third lap I decided to open up the throttle.” Dunlop’s win took him to 14 TT victories – level with Mike Hailwood.
