TT racer is carbon copy of new V4 RR road bike

Motorcycle News (UK) - - This Week -

When Norton pulled the covers of their new V4 RR road bike, first revealed by MCN back in October last year before its launch to the public at Motorcycle Live last November, the world gasped in admiration – then the doubters started to pick holes in it. Would it ever be built? Would it work? Would this really be the basis for the TT race bike? Would it really justify the price tag?

With the V4 road bike now going through the final stages of production preparation, we strip the fairings off the SG6 TT race bike to uncover the truth of just how close it really is to the V4 RR. Clearly there’s one big elephant in the room – or under the silver fairing – in the shape of the Wsb-spec Aprilia V4 engine – but is that where the differences end?
