Royal Enfield get funky at Wheels & Waves

Motorcycle News (UK) - - This Week -

Royal Enfield showed two new custom bikes at the Wheels & Waves festival in Biarritz over the weekend, including this Continental GT Surf Racer.

Built by Leicester-based Sinroja Motorcycles, the Continental GT has been transformed into a proper little café racer. It has a high lift cam plus a high-compression piston and a new inlet manifold mated to a Dell’orto pumper carb. There’s also a custom exhaust that snakes its way past the cylinder and up out under the seat.

Matching its increase in performance is a conversion to 17in wheels shod with Pirelli Supercorsa tyres. It’s also been upgraded with a USD fork and twin radial calipers. Does all this mean it will go as fast as it looks? Who knows but it has got us hankering for a faired version of the anticipated Continental GT750.
