Silly season: Who goes where?
Already signed up at Suzuki for two years, Iannone’s had a difficult start to the year on the GSX-RR. Struggling with results, a clean break for both rider and team could be on the cards.
His contract is up at the end of 2017, but after strong rides and a podium at Mugello, Petrucci has surely done enough to get a contract extension – unless someone makes him a better offer.
It hasn’t been a good year for Redding and with his contract up at the end of 2017, there’s rumours of potential replacements being approached. Jack Miller has been mentioned.
At the end of a three-year HRC deal, Miller’s first option will undoubtedly be to stick with the Marc VDS team. He’s also reported to be in talks with Pramac about a move to Ducati.
It’s been a difficult introduction to Rabat in Motogp. He’s been linked to the Avintia Ducati team for 2018, but there’s also talk of him moving to WSB with the Red Bull Honda team.
If Baz gets pushed out of the Avintia team despite decent results this year, it could be a return to World Superbikes for the lanky 24-year-old Frenchman.
