Time for BSB to move on from Knockhill

Scottish track isn’t good enough for modern bikes

Motorcycle News (UK) - - This Week -

Can someone explain to me why the BSB series includes Knockhill? Why use a very short, narrow, bumpy, single racing line track which always seems to have more crashes and injuries than usual? From the Eurosport coverage, most of the riders don’t like it, the qualifying session was a fiasco and the way the bikes move suggests the track is a tarmac-surfaced enduro course. If it has to be retained for some obscure reason, at least ensure it isn’t scheduled after a six-week break and preferably early enough in the season as not to affect significantly the outcome. From the TV spectator perspective on June 18, the teams and riders may as well have pulled the results out of a hat and I fast forwarded at least half the coverage – good racing it was not!
