Carbonfibre frame Carbon-fibre frame is made with a mass production technique called Resin Transfer Moulding which cuts production time down from days to a few hours. Carbon frame is 33% lighter than the aluminium. Carbon rims Wheels are also made in one piece, using the same advanced moulding technique. BMW’S carbon wheels are 30% lighter than even the forged aluminium versions that are an extra on a stock S1000RR.
