‘ These look good... even on me!’
Draggin Revz Kevlar jeans
Time tested Five months / 7500 miles What’s good These Revz jeans are probably a little stylish for my lardy mid-40s frame, but they manage to look good, even on me. The stretchy fit means they’re unflappingly well-tailored, as well as snug over race boots. They are able to accommodate enduro boots, too. There are builtin hip and knee pockets ready for armour if you like to have it, but I have to confess that I go without.
The extensive lining material comes in the form of the firm’s patented Roomoto MR4.0, which is a mix of knitted Kevlar and Dyneema – claimed to be the world’s strongest fibre. The outer material, meanwhile, is impregnated with a silicone coating to keep both filth and moisture at bay.
The fit and comfort is superb, even after full days in the saddle
and off it. The styling also means that you don’t feel conspicuously bikey if you’ve ridden to the pub in them. My new favourites. What’s not The material is a bit, well, odd feeling. The silicone coating gives them a texture that makes them feel cold and almost damp to the touch, even though they’re bone dry. Once you get over the initial oddness though, it’s fine.
