The Circuit of Wales was always an incredibly ambitious project, especially when existing British circuits are already struggling financially.
So why did the Welsh Government take six years and £9 million to come to the decision it did last week – that it could not support the project?
In that time, Welsh residents and businesses grew optimistic of booming tourist trade and job opportunities.
