EXPERT OPINION

Motorcycle News (UK) - - This Week - SIMON PATTERSON MOTOGP REPORTER

The Circuit of Wales was always an incredibly ambitious project, especially when existing British circuits are already struggling financially.

So why did the Welsh Government take six years and £9 million to come to the decision it did last week – that it could not support the project?

In that time, Welsh residents and businesses grew optimistic of booming tourist trade and job opportunities.

And now, while the Welsh government’s position seems pretty clear, the people behind the project are adamant that this is not the end of the COW story. So the saga looks set to continue for some time yet. Q See MCN Editor’s comment on page 16.
