WHEN HONDA RULED THE TT

Motorcycle News (UK) - - This Week -

Soichiro Honda retired in 1973 but conducted a world tour in 1974, which included a visit to the Isle of Man. Honda had first raced there in 1959 and won the manufacturer’s award in the 125cc class (on the bike below), despite scoring a best solo finish of sixth, but it was the start of the company’s fascination with the TT. In 1961 Honda won the 125 and 250 TTS with Mike Hailwood on board.
