You could argue that they should have used an Ariel for this aerial lunacy, but the outfit is actually a Triumph 500 Adventurer. The outfit was owned by John Hind, and converted for this idiocy by stunt specialist Chris Dunkley. We’re still surprised to this day that the balloon could cope with the weight, but it soared to a lofty 600ft abouve the Avon Gorge in Bristol, before bringing its three passangers safely back to Earth.
