What Zarco’s rivals say…

Maverick Viñales When Zarco qualified alongside him on the front row at Le Mans

“He is always fighting into the first corner on the brakes for sure, trying to be first. I think he is doing a really good job. He has been quite impressive for the first four or five races, so he is doing a good job and he has to continue like that: but maybe he needs to calm down because we all want a podium!”

Valentino Rossi After his second close encounter with Zarco at the Dutch TT

“I’ve started to think that he is not a bad guy, it’s just that he doesn’t understand the gaps between one bike and the other because just like in Austin, he tried something impossible. He is aggressive, which is OK until something goes wrong – but this is Motogp and everybody has to be aggressive.”

Cal Crutchlow After his own run-in with Zarco at Austin

“He’s strong in the first lap, but it could easily bite him in the arse and he could end crashing. The only thing is, if it does bite him in the arse, who cares? It’s his first year, he doesn’t really care. But for someone like me, Valentino or Marc– if he takes us out of the race we’ll be more pissed than he is not to finish.”
