R ninet Scrambler

Motorcycle News (UK) - - Retro Special 2017 -

Launched in 2016, the Scrambler was BMW’S first ‘basic’ R ninet model and comes with conventional forks and brakes on a bike given a bit of an offroad appearance. The upright riding position is comfortable, and despite its 19in front wheel it handles surprisingly well, but it’s not a long-haul bike and is better suited to short runs due to a lack of wind protection. As with the Urban G/S, the X model adds the choice of tyres, spoked wheels, heated grips and LED lights.
