R ninet Roadster

The bike that launched the R ninet range back in 2014 remains one of the best retros on the market. Now known unofficially as the Roadster, this is the highest-specification R ninet model and comes with inverted forks, radial brakes, spoked wheels and a beautiful look. When it was launched it blew us all away with its character, performance and style and nowadays it is no less impressive.

R ninet Pure

It would be unfair to call the Pure the base model R ninet as it is far from basic, but that’s effectively what it is. Using conventional forks and brakes instead of the Roadster’s inverted and radials, the Pure has the same engine but is a ‘base for customisation’ according to BMW. We say it’s a great-looking retro with a bargain price tag, heaps of soul and plenty of scope for personalisation. The C model adds spoked wheels, heated grips, LED indicators and a chrome exhaust.
