Sepang last year marked the start of an im­por­tant re­nais­sance for Du­cati and for An­drea Dovizioso – as it saw the man­u­fac­turer’s sec­ond win of the sea­son and Dovi’s first vic­tory in seven years in the pre­mier class.

But damp con­di­tions played a part in that win, and while Dovi should be in the mix this year, it’s hard to see him pre­vail­ing against the Honda duo for the win. Al­ways fast at the Malaysian track, Pe­drosa will be look­ing to make amends for not get­ting to race last year. Of course, if it is damp that could open the door for Valentino.
