Sepang last year marked the start of an important renaissance for Ducati and for Andrea Dovizioso – as it saw the manufacturer’s second win of the season and Dovi’s first victory in seven years in the premier class.
But damp conditions played a part in that win, and while Dovi should be in the mix this year, it’s hard to see him prevailing against the Honda duo for the win. Always fast at the Malaysian track, Pedrosa will be looking to make amends for not getting to race last year. Of course, if it is damp that could open the door for Valentino.
