Much like Casey Stoner before him, Marquez has made Phillip Island his own – even if he sometimes has a problem with finishing the job! Denied wins by crashes and even disqualifications (most recently in 2016 when he crashed out of the lead while under pressure from Crutchlow). But with the title looking likely to go down to the last round this year, he won’t be able to take quite the same amount of risks this time out. While that doesn’t mean he’ll be any slower, a more conservative approach should still see him take the victory.
